I’m very excited to announce that I am working on a non-fiction book about Japan’s culture of foraging wild edible plants. I’ll be sharing more details in the coming months, but for now you can check out some of the photos taken on research trips for the project, shared in past posts like this one and this one. As for the photo above, that’s what my desk looks like these days. Piled with treasures from the literature about seaweed, horse chestnuts, Ainu cooking, and bamboo shoots!
